SUKO recently completed the shipment of one PFB80 UHMWPE rod ram extruder and one matching large tray-type sintering furnace to a customer in the medical industry in India.
The customer purchased this equipment for UPE / UHMWPE rod production. The material molecular weight is around 6 million, which requires stable extrusion force, suitable mold matching and controlled sintering support during the production process.

1. PFB80 Polymer Rod Ram Extruder
The PFB80 rod ram extruder is based on SUKO’s polymer rod extrusion technology. It can be used for PTFE rod production, and with suitable molds and process adjustment, it can also support UHMWPE / UPE rod production.
2. Large Tray-Type Sintering Furnace
The customer also selected a large tray-type sintering furnace with the following configuration:
Sintering chamber size: 1000 x 1000 x 1000mm
Tray spacing: 9 inches
Structure: tray-type loading design
Application: PTFE / UHMWPE / UPE rod sintering and thermal processing support
Why This Project Matters
UHMWPE / UPE material has different processing behavior from standard PTFE. For high molecular weight UPE rod production, the equipment needs to support stable forming, reliable pressure output, suitable mold configuration and matching thermal processing equipment.
For this India medical industry customer, SUKO provided a matched production solution instead of a single machine. The rod ram extruder and large sintering furnace work together to support the customer’s production process and future material trials.
