The main types of PTFE processing machines include:

Each machine is used at different stages of production, from raw powder forming to final product finishing.

A PTFE sintering furnace is used to heat PTFE products above their melting point to fuse particles together. It ensures the final product has proper density, strength, and chemical resistance.

PTFE cannot be processed using conventional plastic equipment because it does not melt in a normal flow state. It requires high-pressure forming machines such as ram extruders, molding presses, and sintering ovens.

PTFE paste extrusion equipment is used to produce flexible products such as thin tubes, hoses, and tapes. It involves mixing PTFE powder with lubricant before extrusion and later removing the lubricant during processing.

Common defects include:

PTFE extrusion quality can be improved by:

PTFE tubes are typically produced using ram extrusion and are more rigid, while PTFE hoses are produced using paste extrusion and are flexible. The production equipment and process are different.
